KUANTAN (15 Feb, 2008) – A bad crash involving sprinters Danilo Hondo and Alberto Loddo just 25metres to the finish line gifted Alexandre Usov of AG2R La Mondiale Stage Seven of the Le Tour de Langkawi 2008 from Kuala Rompin to Kuantan this morning.

The surprise win for the Belarus-born Usov was the result of a frantic sprint to the end in which Mauro Abel Richeze (CSF Group- Navigare) was penalized for causing the crash. BANDAR PENAWAR (13 Feb, 2008) – Alberto Loddo exploded into Bandar Penawar to take Stage Five of Le Tour de Langkawi 2008 as Malaysia’s Anuar Manan floundered in the intermediate sprints to relinquish the sprinter’s green jersey to Aurlien Clerc.

BATU PAHAT (12 Feb, 2008) – Veteran Danilo Hondo delivered a superb sprint finish into Batu Pahat as he stormed ahead of the battling pack that included five-time stage winner Alberto Loddo at the end of Stage Four of Le Tour de Langkawi 2008 which began in Port Dickson this morning.

The Serramenti PVC rider, who had previously ridden for team T-Mobile and Tinkoff Credit Systems, was absolutely thrilled today as winning the stage had capped a return to form for the controversial cyclist.
